What is the small print?

These are the restrictions when using the Explore Bath card, please check each offer for specific conditions. The Explore Bath card is valid for 30 days from the time of purchase.

* not to be used in conjunction with any other offer
* no cash value
* not valid: New Year's eve/day, Christmas eve/day, Valentine's day, Father's/Mother's day.

How does it work?

Once you have purchased an Explore Bath card, you simply present it to the company to receive the discount.
The merchant will sometimes cross out their respective number on the back of the card.
Example: you take your card to the ghost walk; you buy one ticket for the walk and receive one free.
To receive the tour discounts, you simply pay a small deposit on-line and pay the balance when you take the tour.
To receive the accommodation discount you simply mention the Explore Bath card at the time of booking and show the card when you arrive to receive the discount.
Note: Tour and accommodation discounts are only available to those who purchase the card on-line.
The card is currently £10.00, and is valid for 30 days. (same as if you buy it in bath).

How do I get my card?

Simply go to the order page, fill out the order form and pay through pay pal.

1). We will send you the card through the post to the address on the order form.

2). We can post the card to whichever accommodation you are staying at.

How do the tour discounts work?

We have arranged special tour prices with various operators in and around Bath. Once you have your card, simply pay a small deposit and fill out the tour form. When you take your tour you pay the discounted price minus the deposit.
Example: Normal tour cost is £15.00. Explore Bath card price is £12.00, you pay £1.00 deposit and when you take the tour pay the £11.00 balance.
These are the identical tours as you would purchase anywhere in Bath.
Note: These special prices are only available to those who purchase the Explore Bath card online.

How does the accommodation discounts work?

How can I pay for my card?

Simply go to the order page, fill out the form and pay through pay pal which is a secure on line system owned by EBay and who accept most major credit cards.
They have a fail-safe return policy. Occasionally you may arrange purchase of the card with one of our managers (you may have to buy them a beer) at an arranged location in Bath. Example your hotel b&b, pub etc.
Can the card be used more than once at each location?

The card has a numbering system on the back, which will be crossed-out each time you use an offer. Each companies is only obliged to accept the card once, however most will allow you to re-use the card unless they are not too buy.

How long is the card valid?

The card is valid for 30 days. You may specify the date you would like the card to start; otherwise we start the date based on your arrival date.

Do I need more than 1 card if there is a group of people?

The card is mainly for 2 people (buy one get one free) if there are 6 people you would need 3 cards for the group to receive the discounts.
Accommodation is based on per room, so if you are staying in 1 room then just 1 card, if you need 3 rooms then 3 cards.
For the tours you simply need 1 card no matter how many people in your group.

How do I know all this is valid?

We have been involved in this business since the mid 80’s and rely on word-of-mouth to expand. All the companies have signed agreements and or contracts to honour the cards. ‘If you are not happy tell us, if you are tell others’. Paypal is a fool-safe way to buy through the Internet.

Are you based in Bath?

We are based in Bath and enjoy meeting the people who use our services.
Most of the staff are not British, which helps us see Bath from both sides, as tourist and as locals. The best of both worlds.
We are more than happy to pass on our local knowledge and experience about bath and the U.K. to any who require it. But…the first beer is on you.
