Elegant and historic Bath is set amidst some of the most beautiful countryside in the West of England. The Highclere Holiday Apartments are on the edge of the golden hillside hamlet of Widcombe, largely rural in outlook, but so near the heart of the city.

Each close-carpeted attractively furnished apartment has a bedroom, lounge/dining area with a three piece suite and a bathroom and kitchen. Each has a colour television, video recorder and videos, night storage heaters and electric fires, clock radio, radio, hair dryer, electric iron and ironing board. There are two electric heat pads in each apartment.

Electric showers, power points and shaver sockets are provided. The modern fitted kitchens have washing machines and tumble dryers or washer/dryers, refrigerators, and freezers or fridge/freezers, full size cookers, microwave ovens, toasters, kettles, cutlery, cooking utensils, porcelain china and Corning Ware.

The accommodation is an attractive 18th century character Cottage with exposed beams, that has been sympathetically modernised and decorated. It can comfortably accommodate up to six people.

Enter an atmosphere of period charm in Dorian House, built of Bath stone circa 1880. It is a fine example of Victorian architecture at its most elegant, retaining all of its original features. Spacious bedrooms have a restful ambience and views over the Royal Crescent or well-tended gardens. Some have traditional oak four-poster or superking size beds and are luxuriously decorated with opulent fabrics and stunning decor. Crisp cotton sheets, fluffy towels, tea/coffee making facilities, television, hairdryer and telephone ensure a comfortable stay.

The fine accommodation is complemented by a warmly decorated lounge with its open fireplace, intimate atmosphere and large comfortable sofas. Menus collected from the excellent restaurants in Bath allow guests to plan their lunch or evening meal. A delicious breakfast includes freshly baked croissants, fresh fruit, juices or a scrumptious full English breakfast.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the centre and is perfect for those wishing to explore Bath's many attractions, including the Thermae Bath Spa, Roman Baths, Abbey and Royal Crescent. There are many beautiful gardens nearby and some of the prettiest villages in the country.

We have en-suite and standard campus accommodation available for individual or group use. The majority of accommodation for visitors is provided in Polden Court (above) which is primarily designed as an all-year-round Conference Centre. The accommodation provides single, double and twin bedrooms with full en-suite facilities (bath, shower, toilet and washbasin) and the rooms also have their own televisions.

Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the kitchen areas. The shared kitchens also have a fridge/freezer(s), an iron and ironing board.
